Armenian Citizen Helps Turks Obtain Necessary Information
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has revealed yet another traitor. The investigation has determined that a 30-year-old resident of Yerevan sold information about Armenia to Turks.
From mid-2018 until the end of December, while working at a local bookmaker company and being fluent in Turkish, he negotiated with an employee from a Turkish company in the same field, promising to upload a harmful program that would copy information from the Armenian company's computer.
Without having the necessary access to the computer, he convinced his counterpart that it was essential to download a file containing the company's employees' data onto the computer of one of the office workers. Subsequently, he sent a file named nor.ashxatoxner.xls.xls.xls from his personal account on 'Skype Google' to the employee's account. The latter downloaded it onto her computer without informing her of the contents of the electronic file.
As a result, the 'Trojan' type malicious program created in Turkey allowed the Turks to illegally take possession of information contained within the bookmaking company's computer system. Based on sufficient evidence, charges have been filed against the employee of the bookmaking office for illegally taking possession of information and for developing, using, and distributing malicious programs in conspiracy with a group of persons. As a preventive measure, a signature was chosen to prevent him from fleeing.
A part of the criminal case against him has been separated into an independent proceeding and sent to the prosecution with an accusatory conclusion.
