Restrictions on Coronavirus Will Be Lifted in Georgia

During a press conference following a meeting of the special inter-agency council created by the Georgian government to prevent the spread of coronavirus, council members discussed the government’s decision regarding the restrictions for the Easter holidays.

Starting from May 13, the restrictions currently in place will be lifted, meaning that public and intra-community transport services will resume. Educational institutions, including schools and kindergartens, will also restart their operations. However, the curfew will remain in effect.

Restrictions had been imposed in Georgia from May 3 to May 13 in connection with the Easter holidays. Prior to this decision, there were rumors circulating in the country that the restrictions would not be lifted.
