After the Prime Minister's Speech, the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Are in Alarm: Possible Sharp Turns Ahead
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports: According to information from "Zhoghovurd," the statements made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from the parliamentary podium regarding the war, operations conducted, and shortcomings have raised serious concerns among several generals and colonels about why the Prime Minister publicly addressed these issues from the parliamentary podium.
Moreover, according to our sources, high-ranking military officials discussed that this public dispute between the former chief of the General Staff and the Prime Minister may not lead to good outcomes and may pose new challenges to the army.
Informed sources informed us that on March 22, when Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented Artak Davtyan to the Armed Forces' commands during a closed discussion, many generals were interested in what fate awaits them and whether they would be implicated or judged in any criminal cases related to the 44-day war.
Pashinyan assured them that no fact-finding groups would be formed and no investigations would be conducted, allowing everyone to continue their functions without concern. Furthermore, according to the same sources, Pashinyan indicated that they could conduct internal discussions and determine among themselves where and how mistakes were made, and draw conclusions.
However, following the Prime Minister's speech more recently, the Ministry of Defense and the composition of the Armed Forces are, to put it mildly, in alarm, as sharp turns are possible in the near future.
