Video: Citizens Distributing Lavash to Police Officers
Citizens demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister are distributing lavash to police officers on Demirchyan Street.
As previously reported, protesters calling for Prime Minister Pashinyan's resignation have surrounded the National Assembly building from all sides, demanding the convening of an extraordinary session focused on the agenda of Pashinyan's resignation.
Baghramyan Avenue has been closed since February 25, and Demirchyan Street has also been blocked for several hours, with tents set up in the area. The protesters state that they will not allow MPs to enter the parliament and have announced they will not leave until Pashinyan resigns.
There are also large police forces gathered on Demirchyan Street, equipped with shields and helmets. The opposition has called on citizens to come to Demirchyan Street and join the acts of civil disobedience. Meanwhile, it has been reported that a significant number of police officers are being deployed to Yerevan.
