«Mr. Prime Minister, do you feel guilty for the loss of 70% of Artsakh’s territories, do you ultimately feel pain?» - Anna Kostanyan
During a question and answer session with the Government in the National Assembly, Anna Kostanyan, a member of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction, questioned Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about whether his government is ensuring the implementation of the following provisions from the Declaration of Independence of Armenia: the right to self-determination of nations. She further inquired how the government is ensuring the civil solidarity enshrined in the preamble of the RA Constitution.
The Justice Minister, Rustam Badasyan, responded, stating that what is written in the preamble is the responsibility of the Republic of Armenia and the Government to implement: "The preamble of the Constitution contains a roadmap for the entire Constitution, establishing constitutional values that the Government must adhere to."
Kostanyan emphasized that her question was directed at Nikol Pashinyan, and added that she wanted to pose a rhetorical question to him: "Mr. Prime Minister, do you feel guilty for the thousands of our soldiers and compatriots who lost their lives as a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan, do you feel a pang of conscience, and ultimately, do you feel pain for the loss of 70% of the territories of the Republic of Artsakh?"
