Azerbaijanis Destroy Cemetery in Tagharan Village; Some Residents Retrieve Their Relatives’ Remains
The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports that Azerbaijani authorities have completely destroyed and leveled the cemetery in Tagharan village of the Hadrut region of the Republic of Artsakh. According to eyewitnesses, a highway leading to Shushi will pass through that area.
Some residents of Tagharan have managed to negotiate with the Azerbaijani side and retrieve the remains of their relatives for reburial in areas under Armenian control, although these cases are merely a few exceptions.
