"Aftershocks of the Earthquake Could Last 10-20 Days" - Seismologist Explains
“The earthquake was tectonic, caused by our seismically active zone. It had a magnitude of 4.7. There can be no talk of biological or other weapons; it was a natural phenomenon. We have aftershock seismic activity. When we say aftershock, we imply that the magnitude will be weaker than the main shock, which we observed yesterday,” said seismologist Sos Margaryan, referring to the strong earthquake that occurred in Armenia on February 13.
According to him, the aftershocks from this earthquake could last up to 10-20 days. “They gradually diminish. At this moment, we have had more than 110 aftershocks, of which we felt the 2nd or 3rd; the rest have been very weak.”
