Araik Haroutyounian: The Adversary Was Located Just a Few Hundred Meters to Several Kilometers from Stepanakert
In the next three years, displaced residents of Artsakh will have housing, while the government will make efforts to address their employment issues. This was stated by President Araik Haroutyounian during a meeting yesterday with representatives of non-governmental organizations operating in Artsakh.
The president discussed topics frequently raised within the community. Addressing the war unleashed by Azerbaijan, the leader of the country outlined the situation created during various periods of military operations and the necessity to halt the war as soon as possible.
"The adversary was located just a few hundred meters to several kilometers from Stepanakert, and we had no defensive positions; there was hardly anyone to defend, especially towards Shushi. The last group was the Vank battalion, which had almost entirely abandoned its positions," he said.
