No Reports of Damage, Casualties, or Injuries in Armenia Following Earthquake
As of 20:10, no reports of damage, casualties, or injuries have been registered in the territory of Armenia following the earthquake that occurred today. This information is provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.
Earlier, it was reported that on February 5, at 19:36 local time (15:36 GMT), the seismic network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations registered an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7. The earthquake's epicenter was located at a depth of 10 km, 5 km northeast of the village of Shorja, at geographic coordinates of 40.53° N latitude and 45.32° E longitude.
The intensity of the underground shock in the epicentral zone was recorded at 6-7 points. The earthquake was felt in the Gegharkunik region with an intensity of 5-6 points, in several settlements of the Kotayk, Tavush, Lori, and Ararat regions with an intensity of 4-6 points, and in the city of Yerevan with an intensity of 3-4 points.
