81 Out of 388 Waste Chutes in Arabkir Apartment Buildings Closed
In the apartment buildings of the Arabkir administrative district, 81 out of 388 waste chutes have been closed. This information has been reported by the administrative district.
“The waste pipes and garbage chutes in apartment buildings create numerous inconveniences, as well as aesthetic and hygienic issues. This is confirmed by the complaints and requests from our citizens regarding the closure of these chutes,” stated the district administration.
“Dear citizens, the right to manage the common areas of apartment buildings belongs to the property owners, and if two-thirds of the entrance residents deem the closure of a waste chute necessary, they can initiate the process, of course notifying the administrative district head's staff so that garbage bins can be placed in the adjacent areas of the buildings. The right to refuse the proximity of rodents and insects is a right of every citizen,” the district authorities reported.
