Russian Gas Supply to Armenia Suspended for One Day
The supply of Russian gas to Armenia will be suspended for one day today due to emergency recovery work on the "Red Bridge-Sevqar-Berd" main pipeline passing through Georgia.
Gazprom Armenia has reported that considering the mid-winter need to ensure smooth fuel delivery to the population from the underground storage in Abovyan, both gas stations and the Yerevan thermal power station will be disconnected from the system for 24-36 hours.
Residents are urged to use gas sparingly. There is also a possibility that gas and electricity supplies to consumers may be interrupted from time to time, as warned by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
