Criminal Case Opened Following Incidents Between MPs and Protesters Near National Assembly
As reported earlier, incidents occurred today outside the National Assembly between My Step MPs and protesters. In particular, participants in the demonstration threw eggs and tomatoes at the parliamentarians. A scuffle also broke out between Sisak Gabrielyan and the protesters, accompanied by insults.
In response to ArmDaily.am's inquiry, Zarzand Gabrielyan, head of the Public Relations and Media Department of the Police, stated: “A criminal case has been initiated in the Arabkir division of the police on hooliganism charges due to the incidents near the National Assembly, with 14 individuals being detained. An investigation is underway.” He also noted that at the moment, 17 participants of the rally have been taken to the police based on actions stipulated under Article 182 of the RA Criminal Code.
