ECHR Grants Armenia's Latest Request for Information on Prisoners of War from Azerbaijan
On December 18, immediately after a meeting held in Gyumri with the relatives of 62 servicemen who found themselves surrounded in Khzaberd, Armenia's Representative to the ECHR, Yeghishe Kirakosyan, prepared a request for interim measures against Azerbaijan regarding 53 of the servicemen, which was submitted to the European Court of Human Rights along with necessary evidence. For the remaining nine servicemen, a request for interim measures was made by lawyers, according to the office of Armenia's representative at the ECHR.
On December 21, the ECHR granted another request submitted by the Armenian government, demanding that the Azerbaijani government provide information and medical documents regarding the prisoners of war by December 28, as well as details on the timing of their exchange.
