Court Retires to Deliberate on the Lawfulness of Arushanyan's Arrest
The Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court has retired to a consultative room to make a decision regarding the lawfulness of the arrest of Arush Arushanyan, the head of the Goris community. His lawyer, Armen Melkonyan, informed reporters about this, according to Armenpress.
“The court has retired to a consultative room, and all questions were discussed for about an hour and a half. I believe the defense team has managed to convince the court that the arrest of Arush Arushanyan is absolutely unlawful,” Melkonyan stated.
Arush Arushanyan was arrested on December 21 on suspicion of organizing and attempting to hold an unauthorized gathering.
