Year's Best Player, Coach, and Goalkeeper: FIFA Announces Award Nominees

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has announced the final three nominees for the Best Player award of the year. Competing for The Best-2020 are Poland's forward Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich, Germany's champion, cup winner, and UEFA Champions League titleholder; Argentina's forward Lionel Messi of Barcelona, Spain's runner-up; and Portugal's forward Cristiano Ronaldo of Juventus, Italy's champion.

FIFA has also published the final nominees for the Best Coach award. The contenders for The Best-2020 are Hans-Dieter Flick, head coach of Bayern Munich; Jürgen Klopp, head coach of England's champion Liverpool; and Marcelo Bielsa, head coach of Leeds United, who won the English Championship.

Additionally, FIFA announced the final nominees for the Best Goalkeeper award. The Best-2020 nominees include Brazilian Alisson Becker from Liverpool, German Manuel Neuer from Bayern Munich, and Slovenian Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid.

The Best-2020 awards ceremony will take place online on December 17. Voting began on November 25 and concluded on December 9.
