Israel Warns Citizens of Threats of Attacks in Countries Bordering Iran
The Israeli National Security Council's counter-terrorism headquarters warned on Thursday about the threat of attacks on Israelis and Israeli targets in countries bordering Iran. This was reported by TASS.
“Recently, under the Iranian threats and considering the previous connections of Iranians to various terrorist attacks in different countries, there are concerns that Iran will attempt to act against Israeli targets in this manner,” the statement reads.
The headquarters also mentioned Azerbaijan, Georgia, several regions of Iraq, Turkey, as well as the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, with which Israel normalized relations two months ago, and the entire Middle Eastern region and Africa as potential areas for attacks on Israeli targets by pro-Iranian forces.
Additionally, authorities urged Israelis to remain vigilant when visiting Europe during the New Year holidays at the end of December 2020 and the beginning of January 2021 and to avoid crowded places.
