UEFA Executive Committee Lifts Ban on Matches in Armenia and Azerbaijan
Matches under the UEFA umbrella can once again take place in Armenia and Azerbaijan. This is reported by the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA).
The decision was made during a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee held on December 3. Taking into account the ceasefire agreement signed between the two countries on November 9, as well as all existing circumstances, UEFA believes that all conditions and opportunities for organizing matches under its auspices are now available in both countries.
Thus, the UEFA Executive Committee has annulled the decision made on October 20 regarding the impossibility of hosting UEFA competitions in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
