Phone Conversation Between Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov
On November 19, a phone conversation took place between the newly appointed Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan and the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov congratulated Minister Ayvazyan on taking office as Foreign Minister. In this context, the mutual willingness to continue developing Armenian-Russian allied relations in all areas, including regional security issues, was emphasized.
The interlocutors addressed the practical implementation of the joint trilateral statement of November 10 and details regarding the activities of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Artsakh.
The Foreign Ministers also discussed the situation in Artsakh and the region. In this context, efforts aimed at resolving the humanitarian situation in Artsakh were highlighted, as well as the recent meeting in Moscow with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
During the phone conversation, ideas were exchanged regarding the upcoming timeline of Armenian-Russian cooperation.
