After Full Stabilization of the Situation, Efforts Will Be Made to Provide Leave to Soldiers Who Participated in Combat Operations - Ministry of Defense
Considering the numerous requests from the parents and family members of servicemen regarding providing rest opportunities for participants in combat operations, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia has issued a clarification. We present it below:
“Despite the established ceasefire under the tripartite agreement, the units of the Armed Forces, with their entire personnel, continue to carry out their assigned tasks. Combat operations are no longer ongoing, which allows for the organization of personnel's rest at their permanent locations, and treatment of servicemen with health issues is carried out according to the established procedures.
The Ministry of Defense unequivocally appreciates the selflessness and heroic struggle of the soldiers of the Armenian army throughout the war and recognizes the importance of the raised issue. We assure that after the full stabilization of the situation, efforts will be made to provide leave to soldiers who participated in combat operations.
Additionally, we note that at this moment, active work is underway to change the permanent locations of several military units as a result of the implementation of measures provided for by the tripartite agreement, which implies territorial solutions, and to create the most comfortable conditions possible for the organization of the personnel's living and service at new sites. The work will be carried out within the shortest possible timeframes.”
