Russian Mi-24 Shot Down in Armenia, Outside Combat Zone - Ministry of Defense of Russia
A Russian Mi-24 helicopter has been shot down in Armenian airspace, outside of the combat zone. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
It is noteworthy that on November 9th, around 17:30 Moscow time, while flying near the village of Yeraskh, alongside a convoy of the 102nd Russian military base in Armenia and close to the border with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Russian Mi-24 helicopter was shot down by a ground-based portable anti-aircraft missile system. As a result of the incident, the helicopter was destroyed, crashing in mountainous terrain.
