Azerbaijani Side Seeks Russian Side's Apology Regarding Tragic Incident
The Azerbaijani side is seeking the Russian side's apology concerning a tragic incident that was accidental in nature and was not aimed at the Russian side. The country has expressed its willingness to pay appropriate compensation. This was announced by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by the Ateo Breaking Telegram channel.
It is recalled that on November 9, around 17:30 Moscow time, a Russian Mi-24 helicopter was shot down by a surface-to-air missile system near the settlement of Yeraskh, close to the border with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, while flying under the escort of units from the 102nd Russian military base in Armenia. As a result of the incident, the helicopter was destroyed, crashing in a mountainous area.
