Corsican Legislative Body Adopts Resolution Calling for EU Countries to Recognize Artsakh
On November 6, 2020, the legislative body of France's Corsica region adopted a resolution in support of the people of Artsakh and the recognition of the Republic of Artsakh. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh.
In the resolution, the Corsican Parliament specifically states that:
- It condemns the Azerbaijani aggression against the population of Nagorno-Karabakh, supported by Turkey, and considers the use of force unacceptable.
- It expresses unwavering support for the Armenian population striving for peace and freedom.
- It calls upon all member states of the United Nations and the European Union to recognize the independence of the Republic of Artsakh, noting that this would contribute to a lasting resolution of the conflict between Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Nagorno-Karabakh.
