Catalan Berga City Council Recognizes Independence of Artsakh
The City Council of Berga, Catalonia, has recognized the independence of the Republic of Artsakh, as reported by the Armenian Cultural Association of Barcelona.
"During the plenary session of the City Council, based on a proposal from the Armenian Cultural Association of Barcelona, the council adopted a motion by a large majority recognizing the independence of the Republic of Artsakh, the right to self-determination of nations, and territorial sovereignty," the statement said.
It is noteworthy that Berga is located in Catalonia, Spain, and has a population of around 17,000.
