Garmin Investigates How Its Products Ended Up in Bayraktar Drones
The American technology company Garmin has become aware that one of its products is being used in Turkish Bayraktar drones to target the peaceful population of Armenia and Artsakh. This was revealed in a letter addressed to the Armenian National Committee of America.
Garmin condemned the violence and expressed condolences over the deaths of civilians.
"The Garmin products used in these drones are commercial, non-military in nature, and widely available for purchase. They are not designed for military use, and are not even intended for application in drones. We are investigating how our products ended up in these drones, and after the investigation, we will take appropriate measures to prevent the use of our products in this manner in the future," the company stated.
