Azerbaijan Displayed Irresponsible Approach Three Times: Mnatsakanyan
Three times, the leaders of the three co-chair countries made their direct contributions to achieving a ceasefire; three times, Armenia has been involved and ensured that agreement. However, three times Azerbaijan has violated that agreement, as it has been guided by Turkey on each occasion. Thus, we have a situation where Azerbaijan displays an irresponsible approach to fulfilling its commitments three times in a row.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, during a briefing with reporters at the National Assembly.
“This does not mean that we will stop working towards establishing a ceasefire, including with the assistance of the co-chairs, based on the four points agreed in Moscow on October 10,” the minister clarified.
Mnatsakanyan noted that one of the key issues is the establishment of a verification system that will enable more effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement. He emphasized that work is being done in this direction and that the involvement, determination, and efforts of the co-chairs remain very important.
In response to a question about the need to appeal to the CSTO, the minister said that Armenia is currently implementing the functions necessary during this time.
