Nearby Gorges of Stepanakert Will Become Hell for the Enemy: Arzrun Hovhannisyan's Briefing

Today, throughout the day, the Azerbaijani armed forces and mercenaries have attempted attacks in several directions, including the northern and northeastern fronts. This was stated by the representative of the Ministry of Defense, Arzrun Hovhannisyan, during a briefing.

“There have also been battles in the southern direction along the banks of the Vorotan River, specifically targeting one height. They have attempted to launch an attack with several armored vehicles, losing 2-3 units of military equipment and were pushed back,” he noted.

Regarding the term “gyorbagyor,” the defense representative mentioned that it was deliberately used, as the Turks understand its meaning very well. He added that “Gyorbagyor 2020” will continue, and the nearby gorges of Stepanakert will become hell for the enemy.

“We issued an official statement that, purely for the safety of citizens, the Berdzor direction will be temporarily closed for the public. Today, we have certainly neutralized that group, but there may still be certain dangers; we just do not want to take risks. There are two or three other roads connecting Artsakh to Armenia, and you can use those routes,” he said.

In the segments of the Armenian borders, at least in the Gegharkunik section, three Azerbaijani drones were shot down by Armenian air defense in a very short period of time; no other active combat operations have been reported in other areas.
