Enemy's Offensive Actions Today Have Failed: Hovhannisyan
"Throughout the night, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces attempted a large-scale offensive across the entire northeastern border zone of Artsakh, all of which have failed, as we have already stated. The planned attack involving one battalion, one company, and other forces has been repelled, with some units trapped and ultimately destroyed under artillery fire," reported the representative of the Ministry of Defense, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, during a press briefing at the Armenian Unified Information Center.
He noted that from 7 AM this morning, different sections of the border zone, including the northern Martakert, the central direction of Martuni, and various southern directions, have experienced attacks, which have shown a significant intensity compared to previous days' assaults. "All enemy attempts to launch attacks have been thwarted; in certain locations, they have been pushed back with even the possibility of pursuit. Our forces have managed to pursue and achieve some positional improvements. However, the enemy has succeeded in capturing one or two positions toward the Martuni direction—specifically toward the Jartar area. All of the enemy's offensive actions today, which were across 3-4 directions, have failed," Hovhannisyan informed, adding that battalion and company-sized units have been deployed actively. Air support has been actively used, with several settlements subjected to bombardment, including the Davit Bek community, resulting in one casualty.
