Pope Francis Calls the Situation in Nagorno-Karabakh a Tragedy
Pope Francis, during his Sunday sermon, urged Catholics not to forget about the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, where military operations continue.
“It is a tragedy,” the pontiff stated.
He highlighted that homes, civilian infrastructure, and churches are being destroyed amid the clashes, and that the military actions increasingly affect the civilian population.
Francis called on the warring parties to “stop shedding the blood of the innocent” and appealed to the saints to “bring peace back to the region.”
