End Occupation, Respect Minority Rights: Iran's Initiative on Nagorno-Karabakh Issue
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Envoy Abbas Araqchi has traveled to the capital of Russia to present Iran's initiative for the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This was reported by the Irna agency.
The Iranian senior official arrived in Moscow from Baku. In Azerbaijan, Abbas Araqchi met with the country's President, Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Deputy Foreign Minister, and the Presidential Assistant on political issues. During the meetings, issues related to the recent escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were discussed.
It is noteworthy that Araqchi will also visit Yerevan and Ankara.
RIA Novosti had previously reported that Iran's plan regarding Nagorno-Karabakh includes: "ending occupation, respecting minority rights, and preventing attacks on civilians and civilian facilities."
