Video: Thousands Gather for the 9th Consecutive Day in Minsk's Independence Square

Supporters of the opposition have gathered in Minsk's Independence Square, Belarus. According to РИА Новости, the protesters are singing protest songs and chanting slogans. It is estimated that several thousand people have assembled in the square.

It is noteworthy that protests in Belarus have continued for the ninth consecutive day, as citizens express their dissatisfaction with the results of the presidential elections held on August 9, in which the current president, Alexander Lukashenko, was declared the winner.

Official figures indicate that over 6,700 people were detained during the first days of the protests. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic, hundreds of people have been injured during the unrest, including more than 120 law enforcement officers.
