VIDEO: I Am Ready to Act as a National Leader During This Period - Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya
The former presidential candidate of Belarus, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, has released a video message expressing her willingness to act as a national leader.
“We all wish to break free from this endless cycle that we have found ourselves in for the past 26 years. I am ready to take on responsibility and act as a national leader during this time to calm the country, return it to a normal rhythm, free all political prisoners, and prepare a legislative basis in a short time along with conditions for organizing new presidential elections—real, fair, and transparent elections that will be unconditionally accepted by the international community,” stated Tsikhanouskaya.
According to her, Belarusians are demonstrating their commitment to the ideals of non-violent resistance to the whole world. “These signals will definitely be heard, and we will have supporters around the world who will help us overcome this difficult period,” Tsikhanouskaya emphasized.
“Among other things, we will also be able to bring back those Belarusians who, by fate's decree, have found themselves in other countries around the world. They are just like us,” she added.
