EU Supports Belarusian People
Josep Borrell, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, has expressed support for Belarusians who participated in protests today against the election of Alexander Lukashenko as President of Belarus.
“Hundreds of thousands of Belarusians took to the streets today in a peaceful demonstration demanding the release of political prisoners, accountability for police brutality, and genuine elections. The EU stands with the Belarusian people,” he stated on his Twitter account.
