Suspect Samvel Kalashyan Wanted in Shooting of 33-Year-Old Man in Sari Tagh

Using operational data received by the Criminal Investigative Department of the Yerevan Police, investigators have identified the individual responsible for injuring 33-year-old Artashes Farsyan with a firearm on May 1 in front of 1/a Saritagh Street, near the Aram Hovhannisyan Street in Yerevan. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, Samvel Kalashyan, a 39-year-old resident of Yerevan, is wanted on suspicion of inflicting the gunshot wound.

The Erebuni police are conducting necessary operational and investigative measures to apprehend Kalashyan as well as to recover the firearm used in the crime. During the inspection of the crime scene, Erebuni police officers and investigators found blood-like traces and a cartridge from a firearm of unknown make and caliber.
