Breaking: Vendetta in Gavar, Two People Have Their Throats Cut in Hospital
The situation in Gegharkunik Province is spiraling out of control. Even the presence of Armenian Police Chief Arman Sargsyan has failed to calm the parties involved. According to preliminary information obtained by ArmLur.am, residents of Noratus have remained agitated following gunfire on the Gavar road today.
Reports indicate that these individuals, armed with iron bars, entered the Gavar hospital, where police were deployed to maintain order. Police Chief Arman Sargsyan was present at the hospital, but was unable to manage the situation.
Armed with batons and knives, the assailants began to destroy hospital property, after which they broke through the barrier formed by the police, gaining access to the room where two individuals injured by gunfire were lying. They then cut the throats of both victims before fleeing the scene.
ArmLur.am has learned that one of the deceased, a result of the throat cuts, is named Armen, while the other is Khachik.
According to preliminary reports, the gunfire on the Gavar road became fatal for four individuals due to an altercation between minors from the Noratus community and Gavar. To resolve the minors' dispute and pacify both sides, military investigator Zorik Paronikyan intervened, after which gunfire erupted.
Following the incident, tension remains high in Gavar and Noratus. Law enforcement officials have dispatched a team from Yerevan to Gegharkunik Province to calm the residents of both communities and prevent further bloodshed, but the situation has yet to stabilize.
