Mine Explosion in Ararat Region: 33-Year-Old Woman Injured
A mine exploded in the Ararat region, resulting in injuries to a 33-year-old woman. In a conversation with Tert.am, Edgar Janoyan, the deputy head of the Public Relations and Information Department of the Police of Armenia, reported that the police received a notification from a medical center on April 5 at 14:50.
According to the report, a resident born in 1987 from the village of P. Sevak was admitted to the hospital with injuries.
Edgar Janoyan stated that the responding operational group established that on the same day at around 13:20, while collecting vegetables in the administrative territory of the village of P. Sevak with her mother-in-law, the woman's foot accidentally touched a mine, leading to an explosion that caused her injuries.
The police have informed that the circumstances of the incident are being investigated, and necessary materials are being prepared.
