‘Jrjhokhurd’. Suspiciously Sourced and Formulated Alcohol Gels Sold in the Market

‘Jrjhokhurd’ newspaper reports that the Market Supervision Inspection Body has conducted inspections at the production facilities of 20 alcohol gel manufacturers in Armenia. As a result of these inspections, it was found that the products of 19 manufacturers were accompanied by compliance assessment documents, and the products had appropriate labeling. However, one manufacturer’s product lacked a compliance assessment document, although the labeling was present. Following the inspections, this company applied for and received the compliance assessment document.

Nevertheless, suspiciously sourced and formulated alcohol gels continue to be sold in the market. ‘Jrjhokhurd’ has learned that the inspection body has approached wholesalers and retailers, demanding that they accept and sell only products with compliance assessment documents and labels; otherwise, the responsibility will fall on these businesses.
