Former Real Madrid President Lorenzo Sanz Dies from Coronavirus
Lorenzo Sanz, the former president of Real Madrid, has passed away at the age of 76 after being infected with the novel coronavirus just days earlier. According to Eurosport.ru, Sanz was hospitalized on March 17 and suffered from a fever for eight consecutive days. His condition deteriorated due to renal failure linked to the severe infection just a few days later. The news of Sanz's death was reported on the evening of March 21.
Sanz served as the president of Real Madrid from 1995 to 2000. Under his leadership, the team won the Champions League in 1998 and 2000.
