FFA Suspends Armenian Championships and Cup Tournaments
The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) has postponed all football competitions due to the spread of coronavirus.
“Considering the new cases of coronavirus emerging in Armenia and with the aim of preventing further spreading of the virus, as well as based on the call of the Government of Armenia, the Football Federation of Armenia has decided to suspend all competitions held under the FFA’s umbrella until March 23,” the FFA stated in an announcement.
Accordingly, the 18th round of the Armenian Premier League, the 22nd and 23rd rounds of the First League, and the second leg of the semi-finals of the Armenian Cup are postponed,” the announcement continued.
The press conference of the newly appointed head coach of the Armenian national team, Spaniard Joaquín Caparrós, scheduled for March 13, has also been postponed.
