Roma Defeats Gent

Roma has claimed victory against Gent in the Round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League for the 2019-20 season. Yesterday, on February 20, they secured a narrow win on home soil. The only goal of the match was scored by Carlos Pérez in the 13th minute.

The national team midfielder of Armenia, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, started the match on the bench but made his entry onto the field in the 79th minute, replacing Lorenzo Pellegrini.

This marked the first victory for the 'Wolves' in the last month, having played five matches during this period, suffering defeats in four of them, with one ending in a draw. Coach Paulo Fonseca stated after the match that this victory was very important psychologically.
