Vardenyats Pass Closed

As of 9:00 AM on February 10, snowfall is recorded on the roads of the Goris region. In the Chayni area of the Kotayk region and in the Zange section of the Saravan pass, there is a snowstorm.

There are patches of black ice in the regions of Artik, Stepanavan, Aparan, Aragats, Dilijan, Vardenis, Vayq, and Goris.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed due to heavy snowfall and lack of visibility. Road construction workers are carrying out cleaning and treatment works with salt and sand on the roads.

Other interstate and republican highways in the Republic of Armenia remain open. To avoid accidents, incidents, and traffic jams, drivers are advised to use winter tires only.
