New Outbreak of Bird Flu in China
A new outbreak of bird flu, H5N6, has occurred in Sichuan Province, China, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture on Monday, February 10.
The outbreak was detected on a farm in Nanchong province, which housed 2,497 birds. Out of these, 1,840 were infected and died. To prevent further spread of the virus, 2,200 birds were forcefully destroyed.
