Tragic Incident: A 62-Year-Old Employee of Jhamshain Rolls into a Gorge with a KrAZ After Clearing Snow All Night
A major and tragic car accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region today. Around 16:50, Aram Harutyunyan, a 62-year-old resident of Jambarak, was driving his KrAZ truck on the Jambarak-Shorja highway when he veered off the road under still unknown circumstances. The vehicle rolled approximately 300 meters down a gorge.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver Harutyunyan died on the spot as a result of the accident. His body was recovered from the vehicle by firefighters from the Emergency Situations Ministry's Jambarak rescue unit.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the deceased had worked at the Jhamshain in Jambarak and had been clearing snow off the roads throughout the night.
