Attempted Kidnapping of 7-Year-Old Girl in Yerevan: Suspect Identified
Auroranews has previously reported that an attempt was made to kidnap a child near Yerevan's No. 160 school.
On February 4, around 10 PM, a resident of Avanesov Street filed a complaint with the Erebuni police stating that on the same day, around 12:20 PM, an unknown man had made various promises to his 7-year-old daughter and lured her to the entrance of a building.
According to the complaint, the man, realizing it was impossible to persuade the child, instructed her not to tell the adults at home about the incident.
Thanks to the actions of the juvenile affairs and domestic violence prevention units of the Yerevan police and Erebuni division, the identity of the man was determined. On February 5, at 2:30 PM, the 33-year-old man was located, reported to the police, and provided an explanation regarding the incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
