Snow Falling in Several Cities; Black Ice on Roads
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of February 4 at 08:00, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia. The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers, while it is difficult to navigate for other types of vehicles. The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult to navigate only for trucks with trailers.
In the regions of Shirak, Syunik, and Kotayk, there is black ice on the roads. Snow is falling in several cities, including Hrazdan and Charentsavan in Kotayk marz, Ashtarak and Aparan in Aragatsotn marz (which is experiencing a snowstorm), and in the city of Gyumri, as well as in the villages of Amasia and Ashotsk in Shirak marz.
According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is closed for trucks.
