Investigation Launching into Auroranews Report on 'Elite' Military Unit
The Office of the Human Rights Defender has launched an inquiry into the recent report by Auroranews concerning the N military unit of the Defense Army. Armenian Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan discussed the issue with the Artsakh Human Rights Defender Artak Beglaryan, as the publication pertains to a unit under the jurisdiction of the Defense Army.
Considering the claims made in the publication, as well as the fact that the issue also concerns Armenian citizens, the Human Rights Defender has decided to initiate proceedings. All necessary measures will be taken within the scope of the Defender's authority to verify the described phenomena.
