Currently, the consumer does not specify which company is being referred to: NVAET discusses local foul-smelling chickens
Yesterday, a Facebook user published a video on their page, informing that they bought domestic chicken from the "King" supermarket in Gyumri, which emitted foam while cooking and had an unpleasant odor.
In a conversation with ArmDaily.am, the spokesperson of the National Food Security Service, Anush Harutyunyan, stated that they are already aware of the issue. "The consumer has demonstrated responsible behavior by contacting us first to inform us. We have accepted the signal, initiated a process, and chicken meat from that same store and batch has been purchased as a sample and sent for laboratory examination to understand what issues may exist. If there are indeed problems, of course, we will prepare a record," she said.
When asked which company's product it is, the NVAET has not yet disclosed that information. "Currently, the consumer does not specify which company is being referred to. If there are no issues, we will evaluate the producer's reputation and publish the information if a problem is found," Harutyunyan added.
It is noted that laboratory test results are usually ready within 5-7 days.
