Armenia Receives Coronavirus Diagnostic Laboratory Tests
Armenia has received laboratory tests for diagnosing the coronavirus. This was announced by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, on his Facebook page.
"We have just received the laboratory tests for diagnosing the coronavirus. These are very important for the prevention and treatment of the disease. To date, we have not had any patients exhibiting symptoms characteristic of the illness; however, from now on, we will be able to conduct laboratory checks in suspected cases. All other anti-epidemic measures are being properly implemented," noted Arsen Torosyan.
The number of people infected with the new type of coronavirus worldwide has exceeded 14,000, with more than 300 fatalities. The first death outside China was recorded in the Philippines. The deceased was from Wuhan, which is considered the epicenter of the outbreak.
