The Deal of the Century: Trump Offers Palestinians to Establish an Independent State

US President Donald Trump has announced that he sent a letter to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas outlining the so-called "Deal of the Century" for Israeli-Palestinian peace resolution, according to AuroraNews.am, citing RIA Novosti.

Accordingly, the United States is proposing steps to create an independent Palestinian state if its leadership chooses the path of peace, the American leader added.

“Today, I sent a letter to President Abbas. I explained to him that the territories allocated for his new state will be opened, and no one will touch them for four years. More importantly, my vision suggests that the Palestinians are given the necessary time to rise and solve the issues related to state creation,” Trump stated.

According to the US President, during this period the Palestinians will be able to study the deal, negotiate with Israel, ensure the standards of statehood, and become truly independent.

“President Abbas, I want you to know that if you choose the path of peace - America and other countries will be with you, we will assist you in various fields, we will be by your side every step of the way, we will be there to help you,” emphasized Donald Trump.
