Targeting Family Members Has No Place Among Us: Vahan Kostanyan

The Assistant to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Vahan Kostanyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "When we say that hate speech has no place among us, it equally and even primarily applies to members of the Civil Contract party. I am confident that the party's leadership will provide the necessary evaluation of what has happened. Targeting family members, hate speech, and such dirty tools cannot have a place among us: #wearebetterthanthis."

Earlier, we reported that Henrik Hartenyan, a member of the My Step faction, posted a picture of Hrayr Tovmasyan’s daughter on his Facebook page, stating: "H. Tovmasyan's daughter, I’ll see you, my dear people!" This had become a subject of criticism on social media. Later, the council member who made the post deleted it from his Facebook page.
