Widespread Violations of Human Rights Observed in Judicial Practice: Ombudsman
The Human Rights Defender has published an urgent report regarding the lack of mechanisms for restoring rights in cases of violations of the requirement for reasonable time in judicial proceedings.
Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan stated on his Facebook page that there are widespread gross violations of human rights within judicial practice concerning the timely examination of cases. He expressed that, “People find themselves in judicial wrangling and simply cannot restore their rights. This situation is intolerable. The existing mechanisms for restoring rights are either completely ineffective or do not function at all.”
The Ombudsman also noted that he has addressed the Constitutional Court regarding these issues.
